The backyard is so bright and colorful today...

...my weekend project is hanging on the clothesline to dry.

...the newest blessing- due to arrive at the very end of this year or the very beginning of next.

A due date is still being determined, pending another ultrasound scheduled in a month.

Dimples

“What are dimples, Mom?” the kids asked me the other day.

Explaining dimples to a kid is a little hard without a picture or an example. But I tried anyway.

And was incredibly successful, I might add.

“Well, it’s like little holes in your cheeks when you smile. “
“Like this?”
“No, not like that.”
“Like this?”
“Not really.”
“Like this?”
“Nope. None of you has dimples. I’ll have to find a picture to show you.”

Blessing #3 asks if I have dimples. I tell him no. He tells me to smile, walks over to me, leans in really close, and gets very excited.

“Mom! You do! You have lots of dimples! They're all over your cheeks! Come and look, guys! Look at all those holes you have, Moma!”

Um, yeah, thanks. Guess I need some pore-minimizing lotion.
