Barber Shop
Our barber shop is not nearly as fun as the movie, but we did have a pretty good time. Rather than do laundry, I decided to trim the boys' hair this morning... partly inspired by the fact that Blessing #5 has his follow-up ophthalmologist appointment tomorrow, and his hair was getting into his eyes pretty badly!
I turned on PBS while we were cutting so there'd be a little distraction. B#3 tells me, as I'm clipping away, "Moma! This is just how they cut my hair at that haircutting place!" Inside I was absolutely glowing... he thought I was cutting his hair so well! "Really, bud? Ah..." And then I realized what he really meant: "Yep, Moma! They have little movies playing while they cut hair, too!"
The haircuts happened to coincide with Dragon Tales. Ironically, today's story on Dragon Tales involved cousin Enrique wearing a hat to hide the bad haircut his abuelita gave him. As I was finishing up with B#3 he asked if he could go put on his hat when we were all done.
Cutting went pretty well, but of course after I released them from their bar stools, I noticed from afar the little oopsies that need some correcting. Unfortunately, patience had run out, and the fine-tuning adjustments will have to be done later. Like when Monkey Daddy is home to help do it.:)

Until then, I suppose they can just wear hats.

You did a fabulous job!
I used to cut my boys hair : 1 shower curtain on the kitchen table plus 1 booster seat on top of the kitchen table to strap them in. It worked great although now they're big enough to just sit on a chair without toppling over.
We're trying to grow out the boys hair to see if it'll curl or just get big and fluffy like I suspect.

They look great! My boys are lucky if the buzz cut does not go terribly wrong. :)
