8 on the 5th

Blessing #1 turned eight (ahhhhhhh!) yesterday! She wanted to celebrate on Sunday so there'd be more time to enjoy it all- that's what she said, so that's what we did.

After church we went to birthday lunch at Red Robin, and then we came home to open presents. She spent the afternoon skating around in those new (size-adjustable, of course!) blades during the littlest little guy's naptime. The kids had a quick cereal dinner, and then we ate ice cream cone cupcakes.

I was told, at the time, that the cupcakes were "like the best thing" I'd ever cooked.

Possibly because of the chocolate icing.

Or the fun sprinkles.

Or the maraschino cherry.

Or the whipped cream.

Or because they were all just so famished after being served cereal for dinner.

Whatever the reason, I was happy because they were all happy!:)
